Missions

The tasks of the Tunisian Network Information Center divided into three parts:

• Technical
  
  • Technical Management of Server domain names registered under the national domain “.tn "
    
  • Management of database of research platform domain names "WHOIS"
    
  • Provide timely different services of domain names in coordination with the ISPs (mail servers, web servers, etc.)

• Outreach
  

  • Supervision of Internet Services Providers in the management of domain names under the .tn and recording interface activation domains,
    
  • Help in choosing domain names and information of registration procedures,
    
  • Communicate to the new corporate reform of national domain .tn and advising on ways to protect their brands or products on the Internet.

• Strategic
  

  • Technology watch around the DNS service and its potential applications,
  • Coordination with national and international organisations and the the supervisory authority.
